Do you agree with me that God is a good Father to us? He wants us to bring our every need to us and wants to love on us unconditionally. God is always with us. When we need someone to talk to He is there. There is no one like GOD.
"How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God" 1 John 3:1
"Do not be afraid little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom" Luke 12:32
"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable then they?" Matthew 6:26
"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows" Romans 8:32
A lot of these verses have the word "Father" or "Heavenly Father". A lot of verses says that God is our Father. Those of us who really know God can see why we call Him Father. For truly, to me, God is one of the best Fathers ever. How much he cares for us, wants us to talk to him about our hurts and pain, and will give us gifts (see Romans 8:28). There is so much I could say about our Heavenly Father. He has always been with us and never has left us. He understands what we go through. Most importantly, He understands us. Though He sees our mistakes and struggles His love still never changes for us. All He wants to do is have our heart and be that good Father that maybe none of us have really experienced here on earth. Maybe you have a Dad who you are not really close too. Or maybe your Dad left you and your family when you were young. Or maybe you want to try and impress your Dad but whatever you do doesn't seem to reach up to his expectations. Whatever the situation may be, God wants to be that Father you never had. We don't have to impress God. But when we accept God into our lives we have to follow His will and live out our lives for Him. He takes any of our pain and knows exactly what to do. "For his ways are higher than our ways and his thoughts are higher than our thoughts" Isaiah 55:8-9. Maybe you have never really had that close relationship with your Dad. If you feel that way God can take away your pain or frustration you feel in that situation and replace it with love.
One day we will be able to be with our God and Jesus and we will get to be in our Heavenly Father's arm and all of our pain, tears, frustrations will be wiped away. How our Heavenly Father longs to be with us and how we long to just be in His arms where we will feel safe and secure always. Where we can feel his love for us, and we will always be accepted by him and our mistakes won't define us. For God's love changes us. It has changed me and has helped me so much. On days when you feel like you can't go on remember your Father in Heaven is cheering us on and believes in us. If God believes in us then that's all we really need. Hand over all your worries, fears, thoughts to your Father who will take them away and hold you close in his arms and will never let you go. We will be with him one day!
