Your A Working Progress

Philippians 4:11 " I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content with whatever situation I have"

Are you in a place in your life where things are okay but you wish you could do something else? Where you could follow your dreams? Reach one of your most wanted goals? Or maybe you want to become the person who God made you to be.

What Philippians 4:11 was saying up above. "I have learned to be content with whatever I have".

I want to use an example. I used to be sick throughout most of my childhood and older and went to lots of doctor appointments. Now I am feeling much better. I am very thankful I am not how I used to be. Right now, I may not be exactly where I want to be in life. But thank God I am not where I used to be.

I may still sometimes get sick but at least I am not as sick as I used to be. At least I am enjoying my life now than not at all. I know we all want to accomplish things in our lives. We want to reach our dream. As we know, God has a plan for everyone of our lives. But what I think is that God has us stay in where we are in our lives for a reason. Maybe to help us grow, learn, and learn what we really want to do in our lives.

God's timing is perfect. God will bring us to where we know He wants us to be when the time is right. Sometimes we just have to spend time with God. Spend time reading His word. Praying etc. We may not always be perfect especially in spending time with God. Trust me, I am still learning to self-discipline myself in spiritual matters. I think a lot to myself, I want to be a Christian writer and I want to get my book finished already. I want to become better at posting blog posts every single week. But I feel at this time in my life God is helping me reach that goal, one step at a time. God is still working on me. Just like He is with you, everyday.

Maybe your trying to get your degree and your trying really hard to get it. Or you want to drive and your taking drivers training and want your drivers license already. Still we have to take it all...

One. Step. At. A. Time.

Philippians 1:6 "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

Ever since the day we accepted God into our lives He started a good work in us. Just like this verse says He who began a good work in us will not stop working on us until the Jesus comes back. So we are a work in progress. I think the more you want to become the person God made you to be the way to do that is you would have to spend time with God and in His word. That way He will mold you into the person you were meant to be. So we should trust God even though we may not be at the spot where we really want to be in life. At least we are not where we used to be and that God is taking us to even greater things.
