You are ACCEPTED, you are LOVED, you are CHERISHED

Do you ever feel like you are not accepted? Like people are always judging you? Or like you don't fit in? I think we have all felt that way. School is a good example of where you may feel like no one accepts you for you who are. I've been there. What makes me feel so good is that God accepts me for where I am at.

I feel like this subject touches close on my heart because I had a hard time accepting who I was in the past. I was self conscious and had low self esteem. So, I know how it is going through not loving who you are and who God created you to be. It's hard and we may feel like everyone around us is judging us.

We have good news. We have a Father in heaven who created us all perfectly and in His own image. To me, that should make us feel great because we live in a world where there is a lot of judging going on and often times people don't accept us for who we are and we may not be everyone's "cup of tea." That's okay because we have this hope in God and who loves us for who we are.

Do you know the song "Come as you are" by David Crowder?. Down below I will be sharing some of the lyrics with you

"So lay down your burdens

Lay down your shame

All who are broken

Lift up your face,

Oh wanderer come home,

Your not to far

So lay down your hurt

Lay down your heart

Come as you are"

These lyrics alone say a lot. It's saying that we can come to God with all of our hurt, shame, and fear.

God says we can come to Him just as we are, with all our flaws and imperfections. He accepts us and loves and cherishes us for who we are everyday no matter what we have done or what we look like. Don't you find that so comforting? We don't have to worry about what the world says about us or how they look at us. We can just remember how God sees us and remember how much He loves and cherishes us. "How great the love of the Father, has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God" 1 John 3:1.

So whether you have a hard time accepting yourself or you feel self conscious, remember that God created us all perfectly in His image and said "That is good". God can help you with that just like He has a lot with me.
