Thankful Instead Of Grumbling

"In everything give thanks, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus our Lord" 1 Thessalonians 5;18

Have you ever felt like not doing something? Like not going to work or maybe you don't want to go to school? Take this for example...

I am in the process of writing a book about my disability and faith and I have some good days and some bad days with writing. When I go to a coffee shop and have a plan to write for my book or blog and my mind just does not cooperate with me or I can't think of any ideas in those moments, I just want to complain and say...

Negative thoughts: For my writing I might say..."Writing is too hard" or "I don't feel like writing" or I just want to give up

For work I might say "I don't feel like doing work today" or "I don't feel like being around people today" or "what if I don't get enough work done"...

For school- "What if I don't fit in?" or "What if the students aren't nice to me?" or "What if I get a bad grade?"...

Positive thoughts to say Instead, that I could say for writing "Thank you God that I even have a story to tell to encourage others in their faith and disability"...

For work- "At least I have a job to get paid" or "Thank you God that I have the ability to even go to work, as some people don't"

Ephesians 5:7 "Work as unto the Lord and not unto men"...

For school "Thank you God that I have a place to learn new things about the world" or "Thank you God that I have a place to meet new friends"

So, maybe instead of complaining we should be thankful and see what doors will open and make our everyday tasks ahead of us easier.
