Taking Time To Refresh

Over this weekend my Mom and I took a girl’s trip to Orlando, Florida. It was a much- needed trip. Her and I needed a trip with just us. We wanted to review my blog as well as get some relaxing in and have fun. For a while I've been at loss with motivation for my writing and doing my YouTube channel. I was focusing on a lot of other things that I didn't really need to focus on. This trip helped me relieve stress about my blog and writing as I took a 3 week break from writing during Christmas and New Years.

My Mom and I flew into Orlando Thursday morning/afternoon we went through security and all that. We eventually made it to the hotel/resort that we were staying at which was pretty nice and cool. The first day we laid out by the pool and enjoyed the warm sun while we enjoyed a refreshing daiquiri and watched people swim in the pool. That night we went to a place called "City walk". We took a boat from the hotel and it drove us to the city which was really cool and the ride was relaxing.

The second picture is the boat my Mom and I took to get to the City walk and up above is in the boat There were tons of shops and places to sit. As you can see there were lots of lights hanging up everywhere too. Also, if you can believe it there was Christmas music playing almost everywhere the whole time too. Even on the boat! So that changed the whole tropical vacation vibe a little lol. The weather there got up to about 85 degrees. On the last day in the evening my Mom and I went to Sea world which is a place where I've always wanted to go and I have had on my bucket list for a long time so to see Orca's in person.

Guess what was the first sea animal we saw? You guessed it right... Orcas! There was a show they put on with the Orca's. It was amazing to see them in person. I've always been mesmerized by them. We also saw a few different aquariums as well. I have always loved aquariums and have always felt very relaxed being around them. I am very thankful for this trip with my Mom. The whole point of this blog post is to not only share about my trip a little bit but also to give you a reminder. When you get stressed out about something or bored with doing the same thing for a long time, for example; school, work, writing, or whatever it is, sometimes you just need to take a break. Do something else or try something completely new and see different things and fill your mind with new things. One of the things that I said on my most recent blog post is....

"Let loose, refresh your dreams, forget about the frustrations of life, and enjoy yourself"

A few verses I would like to share with you are...

"but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31

"Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me." Psalm 51:10

I feel like everyone needs to refresh at points in their lives and might need strength for motivation for what you are doing in your life. When you are stressed about where your life is right now, when you feel overwhelmed by what God has called you to do and feel like you can't do it. Maybe it's time to step back for a week or few weeks and try something totally different. Maybe it's taking a trip like my Mom and I did or maybe you need to try different activities like drawing, singing, or doing things with friends. Another thing you should do, (I'm also telling myself this) is to spend time with God. I notice that when I'm not making time to spend with God or reading His word that's when I lose a lot of my motivation for writing and don't come up with ideas for my blog and books as easily. So maybe it's getting refreshed with your relationship with God. Whatever it is take some time what you need to do for yourself, step back which it's okay to step back for a little bit and take a break and do something fun and take the stress off of your shoulders.
