Working Towards Independence

Everyone has things that they have to work on in their life. Whether it's stuff at school, or at your job, your favorite hobby, staying connected with friends, or saving up money and not spending it all the time, we all are working om something. What I am really talking about here is living independent skills. Like finding transportation to your work or wherever it is that you go, or not spending all your money so quickly and saving it. Making meals at home for yourself. etc

Everyday there is something to work on to improve your life and becoming a stronger and more independent version of yourself.

"In order to grow and become a better version of yourself, you have to admit your faults and admit that there are things you have to work on"

"Take what you've learned about yourself and become a better person"

Right now I am not exactly where I want to be, and who I want to be, even at the age 24 there are still a need to work on. Like for example, I am going to be moving out soon then there are still a few things that I need to work on like cooking meals for myself so that I am not stuck with knowing what to eat. I also have to learn to manage my money better.

When we pay attention to the things we need to work on in our lives it gets us a step closer to becoming the person we want to be. Of course, we will have some faults and struggles along the way which is a part of life but the more we grow up and mature the more we will learn to work around our struggles ad learn to work with it.

A few things in the past that has helped me to learn more about myself and my struggles are...

1. Journal- Journaling has helped me big time. I have written in journals about every area of my life and when you write out your thoughts about life and what you go through it helps you to figure out more about yourself

2.Work- I volunteered, did an internship, and worked hard jobs in the past and that has helped me to learn now what I can and can't handle and I learned what my limits and strengths are. I encourage you to do the same even if you are afraid or nervous to work because it can help you in big ways in your future

3.Blogging- Since I have started blogging since its kind of like journaling. It kind of ties in with that it has helped me learn more about myself then I would have without blogging. Because you can write about your story and your feelings its kind of like therapy I have learned in my experience.

4.Listening to advice from others- When it comes to your close friends and family they might know more about you then you know about yourself. Listen and take in their advice (If they are good and trusting friends/family) because if they love you they would want to help you grow and become the best version of yourself that you can be

4.Your relationship with God- This one is important to me. Being close to the one who created you and who knows your more then others know you and others leaning on God and spending time with Him and hearing from Him can really change how you view yourself and others. He can help give you peace when you have anxiety, He can help

"Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows." Luke 12:7

Ephesians 1:5, NLT: "God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure."

So when you take all these things you learn about yourself in each stages of your life and learn how your body works and what it needs. That can help you become the person that you really want to be and the person God created you to be.You can do it. I can do it. Everyone can become a better, more independent person that they want to be but it just takes time and practice and determination. I am here cheering you on. Keep moving forward!
